Maybe she shouldn't have pressed for a compliment because it was kind of a silly thing to do but she couldn't help the way her heart sort of tumbled right then and there when he pulled her in for a kiss while telling her she was gorgeous. He would feel her smile against his lips before she pressed closer, kissing him back with the same slow heat and a pleased hum. "Thank you."

"You're welcome, baby." He exhaled a soft sigh, closed his eyes for a moment, wound his arms around her body to hold her close for a moment. "Should prolly get goin'." Wasn't gettin' himself in a hurry to do it. But they should. And should probably go see to the coffee they'd left in the kitchen, which by this point, was probably strong enough to wake the dead.

"I don't want to," Lucy admitted with a groan as she pressed her face against his shoulder, content just to lay there with his arms wrapped around her. She wanted to stay in their own little bubble and enjoy the intimacy of it but she knew he was right, especially since there was coffee. So she sighed as she started to slide off of him a moment later. "Fine."

The Ghoul chuckled softly and caught her chin just before she slipped away, stealing one last quick but thorough kiss. "Look at this way. Might get to sleep in another actual bed tonight." Because it was there, and because he could, he gave her bare ass a smack after he sat up, smirked to himself as he gathered up his cloths, his boots and his hat.

Lucy leaned into the kiss, her eyes fluttering closed as she kissed him back, briefly curling a hand around the back of his neck until they pulled apart again. She was just shifting to roll over when he smacked her on the ass, earning him a squeak followed by a laugh as she sat up. She started reaching for her clothes as she glanced over at him. "Where are we heading again? For tonight?"

"Searchlight. NCR's got a base there." The Ghoul dragged his pants up, zipped the fly, fastened his belt, pawed around the room until he came up with his shirt. "I wanna ask around. See if they've spotted a fella stompin' through the desert in power armor. Hopefully takin' out a Legion post'll earn us some good will and a bed for the night. If not, well. We got caps."

Lucy was nodding as she pulled on her pants and made sure they were done up before she grabbed her shirt. She could feel a soft twinge every time she moved but she was hiding it since she knew he would be smug about it. Not that she minded him being smug since she was feeling much the same but they were focusing on serious things now.

"Let's save the caps for last and hope the goodwill is enough," she told him as she gathered her hair up into a ponytail, facing him with a small smile.

The Ghoul grunted softly in acknowledgement, buttoning the well worn, darkened shirt that had once been the same royal blue as her vault suit, the gold threading frayed and tattered. "Guess we'll see. NCR used to be more accepting than most, but that was a while back." Travelling with a ghoul had many, many drawbacks, townsfolk being unwelcome one of the biggest.

It wasn't hard to understand what he meant and she frowned as she glanced over at him, dropping her hands back to her sides after she got her hair up. He had warned her before that there were drawbacks to traveling with the Ghoul but she didn't want to travel anywhere else. "Well, if they're not accepting, we can find another place to sleep."

"Reckon we'll have to." He sat down to tug his boots back on, glanced around the room, lips twitching with amusement. "You have any recollection of whereabouts you tossed my hat, darlin'? You get a wild streak when riled, you know, and I can't replace that hat."

"Then you should blame yourself for getting me riled up," Lucy smirked over at him before she looked around the room before she found his hat so she could drop it gently on top of his head. "There you go, all better."

He snorted a laugh, reached up to adjust the hat she'd plunked on his head before snagging her around the waist and pulling her in. "Fair enough, since I don't plan on stoppin'," he quipped, tipping his head back to smirk up at her, studying the marks on her chest and neck--more of then than he'd like made by the hands of a Legionaire, but enough made by his mouth and teeth that he was satisfied. Combined with that loose and satisfied look on her face, she looked thoroughly debauched, and he had to remind himself they had to move and he couldn't drag her back down to the mattress.

"Let's go drink that coffee, Vaultie," he murmured instead, giving her ass a quick squeeze before letting her go.

It was reckless and maybe a bit foolish considering the circumstances but Lucy felt her heart give a little tumble when he tugged her close to grin up at her. She knew it wasn’t physically possible for her heart to do that but she still swore it felt like that as she smiled back at him, pleased with the gleam of satisfaction in his eyes.

“Okay,” she murmured before cupping his face between her hands so she could capture his lips in a slow, thorough kiss. Straightening, she winked as she pulled away to head into the kitchen.
